To track revenue from offline sources that are not tied to a church service (mailed-in, dropped-off, etc.), you will need to create general sources following the steps below.

  • Click the Marketing tab

  • In the Offline Sources menu section, click on the General Sources link

  • Click the Add a new General Source+ button

  • In the Name text box, enter a name for this general source that indicates how the donations were received

  • In the Description text box, enter a description for this general source

  • In the Channel drop-down box, select the channel for these donations (Mail, Face-to-face, etc.)

  • In the Source Code text box, enter a unique, short-code identifier for this source

  • In the Account Segment text box, enter your GL account segment for this general source

  • If you have additional general sources to create, click the + Save & Add Another button

  • Click the Save & I’m Done button when finished
