The giving goal widget displays goal information according to household giving. The information provided is based on the giving activity of both spouses and whether each spouse has a giving goal or there is a single goal for the household. Here are some of the most common combinations and the view your donors can expect to see based on where the goal is attributed and who is logged in at the time of viewing.

If you would like to review the giving goal widget in more detail or add it to your website for your current campaign, please reach out to us via Chat or send an email to: support@vision2systems.com

2 Person Household (each person has a goal, both gave)

In this first example, both spouses have a giving goal and both have contributed towards their goal. Please note: In these examples we will use the terms Individual and Spouse to differentiate between the household members.

When an individual logs in, they will see their goal and giving information listed first and their spouse's listed second. They will see a link to edit their personal goal, if you have selected the option to allow them to edit their goal. The will also see a link to give to the campaign.

The donor may see two color indicators in their progress bar:

  • Funded total: This is the total already given towards the campaign. The funded amount does include conduit gifts attributed to the donor, regardless of where the payment is attributed.

  • Scheduled total: If the donor has a recurring/scheduled gift to the campaign, this is the total of the future recurring/scheduled gifts, calculated through the end date of the campaign.

The remaining total listed on the right side of the graph indicates the balance after the funded and scheduled totals have been added together.
