When looking at payment details, you may notice that the created date is later than the payment date and wonder how that can happen. We allow the difference to honor your donor's intended gift date, while providing information for the actual date/time the payment was created.

For example: you may complete your batch entry days after the donor gave through the collection plate or regular mail. You can set the gift date back to the date the donor indicated, while the created date reflects the date the gift was entered. When the donor views their statement, they will see their intended gift date not the created date.
