Improvements for the V2 statement generator

Vision2 is excited to announce enhancements to our statement generator. Based on customer feedback, we have improved several aspects of the statement generation process.

Key Improvements

  • Ability to send statement links via email and text. Donors will be able to download their statements from the link provided without logging in. You can track what has been sent, delivered, and downloaded.

  • Enhanced statement format with options to list check numbers and conduit giving

  • Streamlined statement generation process reducing the effort needed in delivering statements to donors

  • Performance improvements

Statement Process

When submitting a statement run, the process will create a list of recipients separated into groups based on delivery method.

  • Sendable by email: recipient has an email address on their profile

  • Sendable by text: recipient does not have an email address, but does have a mobile number login

  • Mailable: recipient does not have an email address or mobile number login, but does have a mailing address. Organizations with a mailing address are also included in this group.

  • Not sendable: any recipient that does not fall in one of the other groups

Emailing Statements

When preparing to send the emails, you can:

  • Download a spreadsheet of all of the recipients

  • Preview the email content

  • Edit the email subject and content and use a select list of {{tokens}} in the copy

  • Send a test email to any email address

  • Bulk send all of the statements

Texting Statements

When preparing to send the text messages, you can:

  • Download a spreadsheet of all of the recipients

  • Preview the text message content

  • Edit the text message content and use a select list of {{tokens}} in the copy

  • Send a test text message to any mobile number

  • Bulk send all of the statements

Print & Mail Statements

When you are ready to start printing statements to mail, you can:

  • Download a spreadsheet of all of the recipients (individuals and organizations)

  • Add recipients from the email and text groups to the print list with options to include all text/email recipients or only those who have not downloaded their statements yet. You can also choose to create a separate PDF download for the email and text recipients.

  • Choose the separator page and sort options

  • Once the statements have been generated, you will have links to download the groups separately (Individuals, Organizations, Email/Text - if opted to include separately, and non-sendable). You can also download a combined list of all print & mail recipients.

Changes to the Statement Document

We've made styling changes and are providing new information on the statement document

Donations separated into subsections

  • Gifts of Cash, Check, Bank Account, and Card

  • Gifts of Stocks and Securities: this section will include additional details including number of shares, symbol, and security name. This will not include dollar amounts. Please note: this is a new feature, so older stock entries will not include these details.

  • Gifts from Others: this section will include gifts made by organizations on behalf of the donors listed on the statement. This will not include any dollar amounts. Please note: this is an optional setting that can be enabled in the statement configuration.

Check Numbers

You can now include check numbers for donations made by check. This is an optional setting that can be enabled in the statement configuration.

Date/Time Generated

At the bottom of the statement page, we now include the date and time the statement was created.
